Have you put yourself out of a job?

Has your own business put you out of work because you are now a “jack of all trades” and no longer a specialist? Or maybe you just don’t like being told what to do any more? Over the past year, yes it has been a year since my position was made redundant (I hate that term), and in that time I have experienced the massive highs and death defying lows. There were three occasions where I decided to throw in the towel and call it quits. Each time by the time I had updated my CV, altered my LinkedIn profile and generally prepared myself for full time employment, something happened that gave me the chance to keep going for a little longer. I now know that by managing my time better when I am busy I am not left out in wind when times are tough because I used my busy time to build relationships and foster new work opportunities. Things I have learned (yes a list): BELIEVE IN YOURSELF (yes I am yelling) You do actually know what you are doing People do value your opinion You can’t do everything, get help Cashflow is king Have fun……...
